BARMER Teledoktor-App 4.1.8

With the Teledoktor app, BARMER offers its insured the services of the Teledoktor in a mobile version. Users can conveniently receive medical treatment in video consultations or seek medical advice on various health topics through different channels. The Teledoktor can answer questions about medications, therapies, illnesses, and many other health fields. This service is available 365 days a year.

The BARMER Teledoktor app provides the following functions:

• Telemedical treatment: Receive medical treatment for yourself or your child in video consultations and, if needed, receive a sick note or a prescription. Certificates for sickness benefit due to a child's illness can also be issued.
• Dermatological video consultations: Upload photos for dermatological video consultations and receive medical treatment from a dermatologist. Sick notes or prescriptions can be provided if necessary.
• Digital skin check: Quick initial assessment of various skin conditions or complaints within a few days. Upload photos of the affected areas and fill out a medical questionnaire to receive an initial medical assessment and report.
• Medical advice hotline: Medical expert teams answer all your questions from asthma to toothache daily between 6 am and midnight.
• Chat function: Conveniently ask health-related questions via chat every day between 6 am and midnight.
• Second opinion: Get a second opinion or medical advice if you have questions about dental prostheses, orthodontics, or before planned surgeries.
• Appointment service: Experts schedule doctor's appointments to minimize the waiting time for a specialist appointment or to reschedule existing appointments.
• English-language services: The app and all Teledoktor services are optionally available in English.

Requirements:

• To use the Teledoktor app, you need a BARMER user account. You can create this for your protected member area "My BARMER" at www.barmer.de/meine-barmer.
• For legal reasons, individuals aged 16 and above can independently use the video consultation feature in the app. For individuals under 16 years old, the presence of parents or legal guardians is necessary.
